The Aleksandr Savchuk Cancer Charity has long supported the Scientific Centre of Monaco, funding research and advanced equipment to combat childhood cancers. The Centre’s stem cells and brain tumours team focuses on creating laboratory models to uncover the causes of aggressive and incurable childhood brain cancers. The charity backs Dr. Swain’s research at Georgetown University, analyzing breast cancer genes in nearly 300 patients. This work aims to pave the way for innovative treatments.

Scientific Centre of Monaco

The Aleksandr Savchuk Cancer Charity is engaged in the advancement of cancer research and the fight against childhood cancers. The charity has been a partner of the CSM for many years, providing financial support for research and the acquisition of new equipment.

Some types of childhood brain cancer are highly aggressive and remain incurable. There is a pressing need to elucidate the aetiology of childhood cancer. The stem cells and brain tumours team at the Centre Scientifique de Monaco is developing laboratory models to facilitate this understanding.

Georgetown University

The Aleksandr Savchuk Cancer Charity supports the work of Dr. Swain and her team at Georgetown University in the United States. The work aims in particular to study breast cancer genes in nearly 300 patients. The results of the research will in particular make it possible to consider new treatments.
