Milky Way

Bringing together contemporary artists to establish links

Creating Health Resilience

Link Environment & Health

Initiated by three women working at the intersection of art and science and the Milky Way Project brings together contemporary artists to establish links between the environment and global health.

Les Femmes Guerrières

Choreographer Chiara Taviani, dancer Virginie Baroux, and composer Catherine Braslavsky.

What is the role of a woman in today’s realities? She appears as a warrior at the turn of history but remains a guardian and protector, a mother and a nurturer, continuing to accumulate the creative flow and sending energy to ensure the victory of light over darkness.

Whatever facets she chooses, her role is important. The archetype of the warrior woman awakens in turbulent times, when she transforms into a nerve, a muscle, a force that charges and holds – flesh ready to die, and yet unconquerable in its willpower and spiritual strength. The Femmes Guerrières performance (as part of the Milky Way project) is a metaphor that reflects the flow of female energy: movement, dance, ritual and artistic practice to counteract the reality of violence and war.
